The pursuit of truth and beauty is a sphere of activity in which we are permitted to remain children all our lives. -Albert Einstein
Years ago, I found this quote by Einstein and saved it. Immediately it sparked something in me; since I’ve referred to it so many times, it’s imprinted on my memory.

As Einstein said, the pursuit of truth and beauty is a worthy pursuit. This Substack is about my own pursuit of truth and beauty as an artist, writer, and consultant.
In late 2018, I stumbled across the Gene Keys. I laughed out loud when I saw that my Purpose was Patience. I thought, what a cosmic joke that is.
It wasn’t until 2021 that I began to dive into the wisdom of the Gene Keys, starting first with the books. I read and listened to every Gene Key, starting with my own and then branching out into my husband’s. I then looked at charts of people like Jung, Hillman, and Freud to refer to as I listened and read the remaining Gene Keys.
I was struck by the depth of the Gene Keys, which pulls from many rich traditions and teachings. It was the first time I saw epigenetics, quantum mechanics, archetypes, and energy systems all pulled into one teaching.
By this point, I had studied tarot, archetypes, astrology, and Human Design for three years.
The Gene Keys, a sister system of Human Design, is much different in application. It is a slow unveiling of the truths rooted in your own being. While I love and continue to study Human Design, it feels like a more intellectual system in nature. Both, however, are designed to be lived rather than merely studied.
I don’t know what my journey will be with this Substack; I have tried time and again to create a blog, a newsletter, or even a digital magazine. This is my journey; I want to share my thoughts and musings.
Spheres of Truth and Beauty is my space for reflection on what I’m learning and contemplating.
The Siddhi of my Evolution sphere is Truth. I will go deeper into what each of the spheres means at a later time. However, there in my chart is reflected something I hold so dear, the pursuit of truth, a journey I’ve been on all my life.
There have been many moments throughout my studies of these systems where my discoveries feel synchronistic. The information, our truth, is there if only we are willing to look for it.
Later, I dove into the Venus Sequence to discover that my SQ (spiritual quotient) is the 8, the Siddhi of Style.
Our SQ is our Design Venus, as opposed to our Personality Venus, the conscious Venus in our astrology charts that we may be most aware of. The SQ relates to our early developmental cycle from birth to age seven.
I know Style is not entirely the same as beauty. It still felt connected. Since I’ve so often worked in the beauty industry as a makeup artist and model. As an artist and poet, my eye is attuned to what is beautiful and constantly looking for inspiration.
I believe in beauty’s ability to arrest us; beauty is penetrative and holds the capacity to move and change us. I believe truth also has that ability. The truth can cut through anything, and as such, there are few truths in this world; one of those ultimate truths is love.
I will never be able to see through another person’s eyes. I will never have the capacity to see what or how another sees. Each person’s truth is subjective and unique to them, just like their unique genetic blueprint, just like their fingerprint.
Our lives are our art; whether you consider yourself an artist or not, you are. We each came here to do something wholly unique. It is in sharing our stories, sharing our truth, sharing our beauty, light, and life that we move closer to one another and begin to understand each other’s reality.
An artist communicates their unique perspective and allows us to see in a new way.
An artist’s path is the pursuit of truth and beauty; this can take myriad shapes.
